Dayi Tathagata is the supreme deity of Buddhist Tantra, the highest level Buddha of Tantra, and the highest deity revered by Buddhist Tantra. In the two mandalas of the Golden Gang realm and the Taizang realm, the Dayi Tathagata occupies a central position, commanding all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. He is the fundamental Buddha of the Buddhist Tantric world. All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in Tantra are descended from the Dayi Tathagata.
